WHAT IS AN AU PAIR?
Au Pair means “on par” or “equal”
Is someone who is qualified to care for children and is able to take sole charge.
Needs to have a drivers license & own car. May live in or live out. Organises and carries out children’s daily routine, including such duties as fetching the child/children from school, taking them to any extra-mural activities, supervision of homework and stimulating educational activities. Does not do housework unless it is child related. Can also provide in-home care for babies & toddlers.
HOW TO APPLY:
We deal exclusively with young South Africans who wish to be employed as au pairs, without leaving their home country. Most will be students wishing to earn a small income while continuing their education.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF US?
- To pay the au pair's monthly income directly to them.
- To provide additional benefits as deemed appropriate to your family's resources.
- To allow the au pair an opportunity to study while earning without leaving South Africa.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE AU PAIR?
- She will be 18 yrs +
- Will have a Drivers License & own car.
- Will supply 2 childcare references (preferably non-family) or at least one very good one.
- May have some childcare training and first aid related courses.
- Girls studying to be teachers are often available for au pair work.
